We have reservations with 3 other couples at a local lodge,(in upper Michigan) that puts on a New Year's eve party every year. It includes a 2 night stay, dinner, free drinks and a midnight buffet!! No one has to drive and we can relax New Years day in the pool. Sounds like fun, doesn't it???

I wish I knew...usually at home with kids ....hate NY parties, always an anti-climax unless you have just fallen in love with someone - then it is just about bearable.
Cheers to Gypsy who will be at home again with the kids, hang on in there, girl....remember 'All this too, shall pass'....and things will get better soon.
In fact, an early 'Courage - and keep it together' to all who feel that the 'festive season' is the time of year when you simply don't feel as if you belong and that New Year's Eve is a ghastly celebration of what is probably going to be another dreary and disappointing year... It isn't - you do belong, this world is as much your's as the next person's and next year could be the best one yet....and I really, really hope that it is, for you and me.

I will be entertaining about 300 people at a new years eve party. I work as a DJ part time. So I'll be sober and everyone else will be absolutely legless by 12.30, and almost broke. Whereas I get I get paid for having a good time. Easylife

Probably at home with my partner and our cat, in front of the fire with a drink to toast the new year. I'll phone my family members before 12 to wish them a happy new year.

With my mother and my sisters that I will not have seen for weeks. We will probably give each other the gifts we could not give each other on Xmas since my little sisters will have had to be with their father who will not allow my name to be even whispered in his presence....
