I rent a house with four other guys one of them has been suspended from ebay for shill bidding and was uspended. I am a clean and honest person but as he lives in my residence and has same adress will my account be shut down if I open one on ebay please advise me thank you all for your time you lovely people

I thank you wonderfull people but I want to add he is suspended and I want a eBay account as its the new trend I see a lot of people with one. However will I get cuaght for being under the same adress as my flate mates what is ebay rules can a person on the same adress but a different name be able to open a new account please help me sorry for any confusion merry christmas

provided none of you bid on each other's items, you should be ok because just having multiple accounts on ebay is not shill bidding.
ebay allows you to have multiple accounts, so there is not a problem with having four ebay ids being accessed from the same IP address.
it's when those accounts bid on items for sale by one of the other ebay accounts to falsely inflate the price(s) that ebay will nail you.
provided that none of those four accounts 'interact' with each other then none of them will be suspended.

I used to work for PayPal, which is owned by Ebay so I'm very familiar with the processes. They link accounts by addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and even relatives (names) so though you may be able to open an account at first, it'll be eventually suspended until his account is cleared up. He really needs to go through the process of clearing his account up, he'll end up affecting alot of people he knows.

Get a post office box to use as your address, and use a different computer so that you have a different ip address.

you shouldn't have a problem if your names are different. write to ebay and ask.

HIS ACTIONS SHOULD NOT AFFECT YOU IN REGISTERING FROM EBAY. IF MY MEMORY SERVES ME CORRECT THEY VERIFY YOU BY THE EMAIL ADDRESS YOU PROVIDE NOT YOUR MAILING ADDRESS.
