Any Ideas....?

Does anyone have any ideas for a board game about the 13 colonies. I have to do it for a school project

Something based on Monopoly would work well. Each of the colonies could have a space on the board, and you could have the properties be taxes levied by the king, etc.

another idea is to base it on chutes and ladders, where each ladder is a positive aspect of colonization (such as freedom of religion, farming cotton, etc) and each chute could be bad things, like high taxes, Native American conflicts, etc. The last space could be independence...
