At some point in time tou felt as if your husband posed a real threat to you and convinced the courts of it.. so they won't let you just take it off..they would need good reasoning behind it...for all they know he could be coercing you to have it removed.. to ensure your safety..they must follow protocol.. and you should really be sure.. they are going to know why you feel safe enough to have it removed.. make sure you are not being coerced.. if you made the decision yourself.. you should have no probem with just telling the truth..they must feel that he no longer poses a threat..

Think very carefully before you do that. You may end up with the same problem that caudsed you to take out the restraining order in the first place. It would be very difficult to obtain another one.

I just hope that dropping the order is to your best interest and not his. You placed it there for a reson, so if things go back to the way it was, then you have no one to blame but yourself. Hope you were not pressured into it, and by the way, good luck.

well why did you get a restraining order in the first place? not trying to be mean but it would differ to that fact.

You do have the right to remove it but, they will want to know what has changed. Why he is no longer a danger to you and if their our kids involved they will be alot more concerned about your reasons than if it's just about you and him.
