Sex put me into preterm labor at 33weeks. Nothing really works to INDUCE your labor. Most things like nipple stimulation, castor oil, etc only works if you are already in labor it helps speed up the process. Just be patient and what I did to prepare myself for labor was primie rose oil pills I took 1 orally and the next week 1 orally 1 vaginally (at night time) and the 3rd week 2 orally 2 vaginally and the 4th week 3 and 3 and do this until you deliver. Start at week 36-37. This helps prepare your cervix helps softening it. Its also very helpful for the insertion or removal of IUD's.
Semen also helps soften your cervix. Good luck

There are websites that advise you on how to actually do this without causing harm to yourself or the baby. I did not use this method (I went into labor at 35 weeks) but lots of moms have.

My best friend used this method when she wanted to help along her birth and it did not work for her. She didnt go into labor until she was 41 weeks and the dr had to strip her membranes.

It is advised that you dont start any natural inductiono f labor until you are full term (37 weeks). I have also heard of taking castrol oil. This is due to it causes diaherra and the muscle spasms cause contractions. I wouldn't try this method. Diaherra doesnt sound fun to me. There is also Blue and Black Cohosh. I dont know much about this method. And then evening primrose which is full of naturally produced prostaglandins which readies your cervix for labor. Almost "rippenign" it.

Good luck!! And just relax your body will know when.

They say if you do this you have to stimulate your nipples for 3 hrs straight every day. Like who really has that kind of time? or even wants to? Plus, you shouldn't do it without your doctor's recommendation because it can cause really strong contractions that can put more stress on the baby.

I do NOT recommend nipple stimulation. I did this with my youngest, and then I had contractions every 3 minutes for TWO WEEKS. I was not dilated enough to be admitted, and the doctor said I was far enough along that they wouldn't stop my labor, but not far enough to speed the process up. every day I went to the hospital, an every day I was sent home to "wait it out."

Castor oil doesn't work, either.

Sex worked for my oldest 2 children.

Good luck, and congrats!

Well it does not thoroughly heal till approximately 6 weeks so that is traditional. But to make it suppose greater positioned ice on it, or soak it in sea salt. If it nonetheless hurts after 6 weeks it might be a foul response to the jewellery.

Get out and walk. Climb stairs, or walk uphill - the further you can walk, the better. But nothing is going to work until your baby decides it's time - I know the last few weeks are the hardest, but the baby will come when it's ready!

I've heard it worked but it never did for me. I would n't start trying any induction stimulus until you are considered full term - 38 weeks or so. Just to be safe for your baby.
