He was a troublemaker and and kind of a jerk. He purposely picked fights, knowing dueling had been outlawed. Also, he fights dirty. He killed Mercutio when Romeo was trying to stop the fight...not really very fair. He is openly scornful of peace.

Tell you what: I won't do your homework for you, but I'll help you figure out how to describe his personality in an essay. First, read the passages that have Tybalt. Make a few judgments of your own. What were some of his words and actions that made you decide he was that way? Second, organize your essay into paragraphs: First paragraph will tell the reader your opinions on Tybalt. Last paragraph will remind the reader of these traits and maybe compare him to someone you know with similar traits. For each paragraph in the middle, write about one of Tybalt's personality traits and list about 3-5 actions or statements he makes that show he has this personality trait. Good luck

Tybalt has a strong disliking for Romeo exhibited throughout the play.

Tybalt seems to be recognized even by his own family as a hothead. Up until his death in Act III, he is constantly quarreling and never hesitates to draw a weapon in the face of a foe.

His nickname of "the Prince of Cats" may refer to the quarrelsome and vicious character of Tybalt the Cat in the fables of Reynard the Fox, which would have been well-known to Shakespeare's audience.

Tybalt was Romeo's best friend. He was Romeo's center, his guiding light. Tybalt Romeo's source of common sense and restraint. He was the one who tried to steer Romeo away from Juliet ( taboo ) , and towards Rosaline ( the sensible choice ).

ooh my favorite one!!!! he's simple really, he's vengeful, very much dedicated to his family otherwise he wouldn't care about Juliet and Romeo being together and he's not really a bad person just a very stubborn one who thinks he's right
