It is not too early. I've already got a Christmas letter and that was the day after Thanksgiving. That's a little early, but sending them now is not.

I just mailed most of mine today. I always send them within the first week of December. I get too busy as time ticks away to the holiday to worry if I forgot someone's card. Plus, maybe someone forgot to send you one-it would remind them. Or, like me, I sent one to a friend I lost touch with about 5 years ago and I just found out where she lives (we had a falling out and I'm too scared to call her). So I'm mailing her one for the sheer sake of wishing her nothing but the best. If she rips it up- fine- if she writes back- great!

How many of your family members are likely to die before Christmas? (meaning, how many have a diagnosis to not live more than a few more months)? I suppose that person would need more than a Christmas card. Umm .. I would wait on everyone else. It would look very weird to get a Christmas card before Halloween.

First off, Christmas is about 3 weeks AWAY....not ago. Second, I would send them out now because there will be alot of mail going out with other cards, packages, etc.

Well I got one on the 30th November - which was early!! I reckon tomorrow is not a bad time - that way people will have time to send you one back!
And it also helps get people in the Christmas mood.

4-6 weeks is usually considered safest, since so much mail at once slows things down and a Christmas card after New Year's just seems tacky but three weeks should be fine as long as you hurry.

Go ahead and get them out! I like to get them early so I can display them in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
