the E icon is gone from desk top and only way to Net is through Messenger....what happened/ did I miss something? can I get a desk top short cutback. cant even find the program in the programs listing.

right click on your desktop - goto properties
Desktop tab - customize desktop (lower lefthand corner)
general - check box Internet Explorer.
This will create a desktop icon for you.

If what the others say doesn't work also try: Add/Remove Programs >> Add Remove Components.
Scroll down until you see Internet Explorer as see if that box had become unchecked. If it has check it.

right click on your desktop and select properties, select the desktop tab, then select customize desktop tab near the bottom, under desktop icons, recheck the option that says internet exploer, click ok, then click ok again. Thats it.

U CAN OPEN IT FROM MESSENGER AND AFTER U WILL FIND IT , IN CONTROL PANEL----ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS ----AND DRAG IT TO DESKTOP
