I have taken psychology and the freaking bozo we studied from actually teaches others that the moon is closer to the earth when it is high above, versus when it is on the horizon. Now, I should have failed this class because I refused to study any further dealing with his teachings, however I proved that his theory was a crock of **** and received an A in the class. What was this guy's name?

Roughly every 28 days, the moon goes through on orbit around the earth. During this orbit it goes through apogee and perigee (farthest from the earth and closest to the earth). At it's closest, the moon is a bit over 350,000 km from the earth and at it's farthest during the orbit, it a bit over 400,000 km.

I would like to know exactly how psychology and astronomy coincide. Actually, the moon is closer to you by about four thousand miles when it's directly above than it is when it's on the horizon. You can easily prove this by just drawing a simple picture. The diameter of the Earth is about 8,000 miles. It has to do with the rotation of the Earth, not the orbit of the moon. This holds true if you're talking about during the same day. The elliptical orbit of the moon varies in its distance from the Earth by about 26,305 miles. Tho moon was at its furthest of the month on NOV 15, 2006 at 11:21:00 PM when it was about 405192 kilometers away. It was at its most recent close distance on DEC 02, 2006 at 00:07:00 AM at about 365922 kilometers. This is a difference of about 24,401 miles.

throughout an entire moon, solar gentle passes the earth and magnificent the moon is meditated straight away back to earth. The earth is on a line tremendously much precisely between the solar and moon. an entire moon would be seen from each area in the international with a view of the moon. If somebody factors a flashlight over your shoulder at a basketball in a darkened room an entire around floor would be illuminated in like way.
