We were visiting London Bridge when the the night started to fall. , and were heading to the underground station map in hand, considering we're from Argentina (mother and daughter). A young man with a bicycle and helmet offered to help us, he thought we were from Spain, he started a conversation, said it was his birthday and wanted to have a picture with us as a birthday present, he asked us to go down the stairs towards the place where the indications about the Tower of London are. I refused and went on walking, so he said he wanted to have some photos in a corner., and in the end we accepted, for that he stopped a man who was just passing by, he gave him a small camera. it was a funny situation because we could see no photos at all ,but we kept thinking if he really wanted to do as something but in the end desisted or if it was a hidden camera.
He was around 30 in fact he said he was 33 that same day.
Could he have been a rapist?? Just wonder...

You were wise not to go down the stairs with him. When you kept on walking but he still insisted on a photo, that seems very strange. It could be that he is a very lonely person and you were the only ones who were friendly toward him on that day, his birthday. Or both of you are very attractive women and he wanted a photo to show his friends, telling them that he spent the day with you on his birthday. Or he might have a daughter/mother sexual fantasy, and he will use your photo to fantasize. Whatever his story is, you were right to feel uncomfortable.

What do you mean could he have been a rapist. I don't know because I don't know the guy lol. He certainly could have been but couldn't anbody who you walk past in the street be a rapist. You did the right thing though you can't be too careful

If that's all he could find to do on his birthday, then he is definitely odd!! You did right to refuse. It would have been a good idea to contact the police, just for them to be aware.
He wouldn't have tried anything with the other man there, so thank goodness you didnt go elsewhere with him where there would have been no-one passing.

that is weird! good thing you didn't go anywhere with him. Although I dont know if a rapist rides a bicycle? that might be a little difficult especially if one of you could have taken the bike and gone to get help?

Maybe it was a film camera and, therefore, you would not have seen any picture. I have no idea whether he could have been a rapist, although his behaviour seems odd. Try to stay where there are crowds

Maybe he's just lonely and wanted a picture where it looked like you were all together?
He might have lied to someone (work?) and said he was married?
Or he might just be a bit weird.
No harm done though.

maybe, maybe not. just never go any where secluded with a stranger. be aware of the environment around you. look people in the eye with your head up and look confident. those are tips for women alone on the streets.

Hopefully he wasn't, but you did the right thing, by being cautious. In today's world, it is too easy to fall into something, that you don't want to be into.
