I'd like to find a book or a website, or even a documentary, about the filming and production of Apocalypse now. I'd like this source to be detailed and of a good length, so I could use it for a research project. I already know about the documentary "Heart of Darkness: A Flimmaker's Apocalypse, so other sources would be more useful. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Amazon has these books available:
"The Apocalypse Now Book" by Peter Cowie
"Apocalypse Now" by Karl French
"Notes on the Making of Apocalypse Now" by Eleanor Coppola

I hope these help; it sounds like a fascinating project.

IMDB.com is a good start (there's a lot more links to be found in the 14 or so pages in the Apocalypse Now forum on that site). Also, the version of Apocalypse Now that's in stores now ("The Complete Dossier") has a couple more mini documentaries, I think (although not Hearts of Darkness). It's only about 15 USD, and you can find it in almost any store that sells movies.

I guess you already checked the IMDb, but here goes - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0078788/ - look at the links in the left column, "Other info" and "External links".
