I always liked the Edwardian era (1901 to 1914) and I think it must have been a great time to live in. The Edwardians were not as strict as the Victorians and lived life to the fullest. Britain was at it's height as an empire. You could get good craftsmanship and everything was made to last. There were many new inventions like the electric light, the automobile, the gramophone, the cinema etc. just enough to make life comfortable, yet people still believed in faeries and the spiritual world. You could go to a seance or see Houdini perform one of his amazing tricks. The community spirit still lived and people cared about each other. I think it must have been a wonderful time to visit. It all ended with the First World War, so I would have tried to stop that, even though as a woman and a single person that would have been very difficult...

The 1920's. So I could wear a flapper outfit, drink and listen to jazz at a Speakeasy, and party with Josephine Baker in Paris.
I love the clothes, music, and carefree attitude of this era.

I would love to witness the tumultuous events of the Civil Rights era. With so many factors in play and countless numbers of people sacrificing themselves for the cause, it would be a time period that I would love to witness. Imagine seeing one of Dr. King's speeches or witnessing the Black Panthers stand up to police brutality.

I would love to go 100 - 150 years into the future to see how we dig ourselves out of the political mess we have created in the UK. Oh, and just to see what I already know, that the environmental gestapo are scaremongering.
