1) Put the mixture of salt and sand into a beaker
2) Pour water into this beaker
3)Use a mixing rod to stir the mixture
4)The salt will have dissolved and you should be able to still see the sand.
5) If you can see salt then that means the solution is saturated (there is not enough water to dissolve all the salt) so you should add more water.
6) Get a second beaker, filter paper and a funnel.
7) Fold the filter paper in half twice then open it up so it forms a cone.
8) Put it into the funnel then put the funnel in the beaker.
9) Pour the solution into the beaker through the funnel.
10) The water and salt will go through as a solution and the san will be left on top.
11) Scrape the sand off and put it wherever you want to keep it and let it dry.
12) Boil the solution of salt and water using a bunsen burner, tripod, heat proof mat and gauze mat. WEAR GOGGLES.
13)Keep heating the solution until all the water has evaporated and there will be only salt left.
14) You will have successfully separated salt and sand.
*Hope this was helpful!

Stir in salt-sand mixture in excess warm water. The salt will dissolve while the sand won't. Filter with filter paper. Sand will be collected in paper. Rinse sand with distal water several times. Let dry
If you also want the salt:
Boil the filtrate on very, very gentle heat, until all the water evaporates. The salt will remain. If however you only want some salt you can boil the solution until point of crystallisation. That is until you see the first crystal appear. Let it cool from there.
Have fun.
Please take care when using a Bunsen burner! Boil with test tube (or heat resistant dish) far from eyes contents might splash.

As salt will dissolve in water and sand will not, you mix water with the the salt and sand over a fine mesh screen. Then you collect the salt water and put it in a large flat pan like a cookie sheet and allow the water to evaporate, leaving the reconstituted sand crystals in the pan.

place this mixture into water, then stir well, the salt should dissolve and the sand wont, then filter out the sand leaving salty water which can be seperated by evaporating and condensing, so basically a distiller will do, then place the salt on some whome made pretzels, add the sand to your sandbox in the garden and hey presto! a happy life!

First of all you put the sand and salt mixture in water, the water will absorb the salt. Pour the water out into a separate bowl and boil the water off this will leave the salt in the bowl.

put water on the mixture
the salt will dissolve
strain out the solution of the salt
then evaporate the solution and salt crystals will form again
so you will have seperated the sand from the salt!
