Has anyone else encountered this? If so, did you have more than one episode of it? How often? How did you treat it? Did you determine what might have caused it?

This is the 3rd time Ive had it in a year, I take the medications, it goes away, but then comes back. I think my fiance and I have figured out what maybe causing me to get it, I had never had it before that first time.

Ive done all the research, in fact my doctor was quite impressed with my knowledge.

I'm not looking for documented research on it, as Ive already done that myself and have read numerous articles on it. Im just looking for personal experience information/advice.

Thanks in advance!!

I've gotten this a few times. It blows, especially since the antibiotics take so long. You have to have your BF go to his DR and get checked, it sounds like you are being re-infected.
I have gotten it from a new partner and from bubblebaths. I would say that you should try to use fragrance and dye free detergent, and don't overclean yourself. If you take more than 1 shower a day, jsut rinse out instead of soaping up for the second, especially if you use bodywash. As you know, it is caused by bacteria that is normally present, jsut as a yeast infection is. You've just got to keep everythign in balance.

i don't likely think of it may reason recognizing. I incredibly have had BV because of the fact that i grow to be like 12, and no that is not on the topic of sexual touch. i did not have intercourse or any sexual touch till i grow to be 19. I incredibly have had 2 young ones and that is my third being pregnant and that i've got in no way had recognizing. I took medicine for BV while i grow to be approximately 21. The smell/gentle discharge went away for approximately 6 months then got here back and that i in no way afflicted with medicine back till approximately 2 months in the past. I take the Metro gel vaginal stuff and it works for approximately 3 weeks, then the smell comes back, yet my well-being care provider reported those form of infections at the instant are not undemanding to attempt against on an identical time as pregnant. in actuality, i'm on the drugs back for the 2nd time this being pregnant. actually, i could communicate to your well-being care provider approximately it. I do have a chum that had BV on an identical time as pregnant and it brought about her to have preterm contractions, whether that is in no way affected me in any respect. sturdy success.

Well u can ..... but saying this....my partner is female and not male, im unsure whether u can catch it from a male but if ur partner is female then u both need a course of anti-biotics. Good luck.

Has your fiance been treated each time you have it? If you are sexually active he may have it but not show symptoms if he hasn't also been treated. You also need to be sure to eat plenty of yogurt with live active cultures or take acidophillis capsules to keep your good bacteria in check.

soaps and body washes, especially scented ones will cause it. it's best to use an antibacterial soap such as dial.

I HAD IT ONCE TREATED IT WITH A PRESCRIPTION. IT CAN BE CAUSED BY LEAVING A TAMPON IN TO LONG DOUCHING OR YOUR BOYFRIEND ISN'T WASHING WELL ENOUGH
