Well, although the Sabres look like the favorite, its still early. But If the playoffs started now I would say that the Sabres would be playing anahiem in the final. What a series that would be.

As much as I like to see Buffalo get there, heed this: The Ottawa Senators for the past 4 years have finished at the top of the Eastern Division, and everyone predicted a Stanley Cup-they faltered horribly- winning the presidents trophy or conference championship in reg season does not mean Stanley Cup. If we go by the best teams in the West, probably Anahiem or Dallas. But if you look at the past two years the champs have come from the South East, and many are predicting it will be Atlanta winning it this year.

Good Luck to your Sabres though, they are tearing up the East this year!

Assuming the Sabres get to crush anyone (and I like the Sabres in a 7 game series against anyone so as long as their healthy enough), it will be either Nashville or Anaheim.

Both Nashville and Anaheim have the tenacity to pull off a victory in a series against any team in the West, but if the two were to match up, I'd have to favor Anaheim.

I predicted a Sabres/Predators series last year the moment the rankings were complete, and might have been right had injuries not bugged them both.

Sabres make the playoffs but die in the first or second round of the playoffs NINE of the wins are a product of a shootout or 4-4 overtime so the record is inflated and in the playoffs the shootout record means squat and OT is 5-5. The Stars last year had 13 extra points by way of the shootout and look what happened to them in the first round lost 3 games in OT.

Sabres wont even make the finals take it one game at a time there's allot of hockey to still be played. Miller will be bomb come the playoffs anyways any team that can get over 30 shots on Miller he will let in 3 or more goals only if the Sabres forwards can score more when it really counts in the playoffs.

holichees...>>>>Canes will repeat you must be a new hockey fan so HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA not even come close.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Instead of who...I think you mean what.

What are the sabres going to be crushing during the Stanley Cup Finals...and of course we all know that the answer to that question is beer cans at the lake.

If they are completely healthy, they will beat Anaheim in 4 games to win the cup :) If they've got a couple injuries, they'll take it in 6!

PS anyone who says on here the Sabres won't make it to the playoffs is a complete idiot!

When was the last time the team that won the president's Trophy also won the cup?
Team with the best record usually goes down in flames in the playoffs.
And for the record, the Canes will repete!

Bookmark this. The Sabres WILL NOT reach the finals. And if I am wrong, I will admit it.
