The gift is for a couple (married), I just want to bring a little something over their place because they're having me over for dinner...what's a nice little Christmas gift to bring a couple (not a bottle of wine...I'd bring that anyway). Thanks!

Bring a box of chocolates or something for dessert.
You could bring a nice ornament for their tree or a nice snow globe or a poinsettia plant.

Maybe you could get them all of the fixings for a nice Christmas dinner and put it in a basket? Or if that seems too much you could always do a nice Cheese and Wine basket with cheese, sausages, crackers and a bottle or two of nice wine they could share together?

For the rich, A donation to charity in their respect, with a small card of recognition as proof. Otherwise I'd go with something they could use immediately at the party.

A nice little gift basket filled with goodies they like (snacks, hobbies, interests, household goodies). Or a nice flower arrangement.

A bottle of wine AND dessert---something fancy, you don't have to make it yourself either.
