Because they hate confrontation and they will do anything to avoid it. That's why they constantly lie. They try to keep everyone in front of them happy. They'll flatter you to no end and promise you everything. It makes you feel like you're on top of the world. When in fact they'll turn around and say the same things to the person next to you and later do as she pleases and completely ignore anything she told you. Trust me on this, I'm a Scorpio and I was engaged to a Libra. It's control. They use lies and emotional manipulation to get their way by faking weakness and acting like they don't know what's going on. And you'll feel like crap because of all the praise they gave you. If I were you I'd tread lightly. I'm sure not ALL Libras are that way but in my experiences, my ex and many others were that way. Don't get pulled in by their charm.

I was going to ask a Libra the same question, but then again as a Leo I figured out that if someone can't tell you something the way it is, they are not worth talking to.
First of all you should love and respect yourself for what you are, then you won't bother why people talk behind your back or lie down to their teeth.
I have never met any Libras who at first became best friends only to be worst woe in the end. But I never bother asking them "why", instead I gathered the pieces, moved on and got to where I am today. You should see the look in their faces since they didn't think I could do it.
There was one male Libra I was attached with for some time. Everytime I asked him to marry me, he was so proud and acted important. Then I met a sexy Cap (I have no idea he is, until I married him) and he said Yes right there when I asked him to marry me. If only I stayed with that Libra, I would miss out a LOT and being a Leo, I don't like missing out hot racy times...
Get a Scorpio instead, they are sarcastic but at least they say it up front and you get to know who you're dealing with first hand.
Or Aries, they are so delicious like chocolate you will forget how dry Libra is. Just keep your eyes on the prize, it'll be yours.

I don't think it's an astrology thing, that's a personal problem. I was with a Libra for years, he didn't lie, just withheld information which is the same thing as lying. As far as I know about Libra's, they like to keep things balanced, make everyone happy, which is an impossible feat. If she's losing friendships over her lying, she will have to learn this lesson for herself because in the end she's going to be alone. Good luck with your sis

I was in a relationship with an Aquarius who's Rising Sign AND Moon sign is Libra! He lied OFTEN and expected total honesty from me at all times. Also, Libras love to be taken care of and LOVE for u to spend money on them and give them money. They will lie to have the easy freeloading lifestyle.

Listen , I'm a libra and I'm actually very very blunt with friends because I'm outspoken even if it hurts your feelings . The only people I'm not so honest with are strangers because I don't know them personally or what they're going through and I have noooo idea how they'd take my truth . So if someone I'm not that close with is desperate for some uplifting , I'll give it to them just to make their day even if I don't really mean it . Idk. , call that fake if u wanna

We avoid conflict and confrontion. We Lie to get out of the situation, some may not lie, but change the subject. So, all of you who are saying "Libra's are the worst", Just shut it. Atleast were not trying to get in a fight.
