I would like to know how hotels create there wireless access ... as i wish to do somethig similar... it usually takes you to a web page where you type in a password..... then you can surf the net

You need a modem, and most importantly a router. You can can routers at stores like Best Buy or other electronic stores. The router sends out the signal and that connects with the wireless card you have either in or connected to your computer.

The hotels don't create them. They are outsourced to a third party company that handles the setup and configurations.
