Conception (meaning the fertilization of the egg by the sperm) happens very soon after ovulation. Then it can take 5-12 days (7-10 on average) for it to travel down the fallopian tube to the uterus and implant.

Implantation is what triggers the production of hcg, which is the hormone that a HPT looks for. Therefore, you have to give it a few days until you have enough to measure.

Certain tests (like $tree and first response early result) are more sensitive (about 25 units of hcg) than others and will give you a positive earlier if you are pregnant. They say to wait until at least 10 days after ovulation, but I've seen people get negatives on HPTs every day until 16dpo and suddently get their positive.

If you're having symptoms already, i say test but if it's negative, give it another two days before you try again. That's how long it usually takes the hcg to double in your system.

Also, use the test first thing in the morning. That's when the hcg is most highly concentrated in your urine.

Good luck!

Yes, you could test tomorrow, but take the results with a grain of salt. If it's positive, CELEBRATE! If it's negative, that doesn't mean you are out of the running.

BE SURE to use a sensitive test. I like First Response Early Detection. That can be used up to 5 days before the period is due.

So let's see, you are 13dpo, so yes! A test most certainly could be positive now. Be sure that you ovulated on the 22nd...

Good luck!

I have had that occur customarily, i consider its in view that of the blood loss and hormone alterations that your frame will have problem being used to. If it is distracting or your relatively involved, pass to the hospital and get looked at to be certain its not anything extra critical. There are loose clinics practically far and wide for womens wellbeing when you dont have coverage...they're lovely expertise. If you've gotten coverage then again, you should not have any quandary discovering support! Hope you believe greater!
