I have a daughter that is 25 years old now. She will retire in a few more years, by that time she should have around 200,000. I invested most of her money in stock. She works for a professional Escort Service...go figure.
She bought me my Harley...ya know!

The advantage to legalizing prostitution is that the government will be able to regulate it - in the form of issuing licenses.

This way the prositutes will probably be required to submit to regular HIV/Aids tests - and to uphold some standards of cleanliness.

If you want a model for a working system - look at the city of Amsterdam. The government regulates the prostitution - thus keeping it safe for the consumer.

I don’t see why we shouldn’t legalize prostitution. After all it is an exchange of services for money, by two consenting adults that, when regulated by government to ensure that prostitutes are healthy and free of STDs, affects no one else but the two parties involved. In areas where prostitution is most notably legal (i.e. Nevada and Amsterdam), we don’t notice any deleterious effects on the community, and it is a rich source of taxable income to greater fund government programs. The only thing that is precluding its acceptance in our legal system is puritanical religious groups in our country, who by their vehement opposition to prostitution’s legalization, underscore their fear that their own sexually prohibitive culture will be lead astray.

The movement died with the advent of incurable sexually transmitted diseases, such as Herpes, which is not protectable by condom (you can get it from bare thighs).

Even the strongest advocates of legalized prostitution saw it was no longer a good time to fight for rights and pulled back.

At some date when HIV and Herpes and Penecillanse is no longer an issue that movement will probably re-surface.

if they did make it legal in all states, there would be less disease, abuse, murder.and the gov. can tax it and get their share from the business.
