I am writing a speech on why same-sex SHOULD be legalized!

I don't see why it shouldn't be legal. It isn't for a man or woman to decide if it is right or wrong. Let god sort it out in the end.

you should write a speech to say that all marriages should be treated as civil unions.

marriage is a religious term, and thereby shouldn't be used at all to define the union of two people who. Whe two people are joined together by a "justice of the peace" , how can we call that marriage under its relgious meanings?

anyway,
civil unions (whether hetero or same sex) allow partners to get tax benefits, be able to be considered as part of the family and in certain legal matters, one person can speak for the other, if the other is unable to speak on his own behalf (medical reasons, due to death, etc), get medical coverage and much more.

yes,who are we to judge these people who love each other.they should beable to marry and recieve all the benifits. children-health insurance,pensions.everything.
