What can I do to fix this so this message doesn't come up anymore? I use Windows XP Home Edition.

stop looking at pornographic videos for 1 thing.

change your paging size from the default to 4095

if that doesn't work

then upgrade the ram.

More ram. at least half gig but a full gig is better for large programs. I Still get this on one computer when printing from word. But otherwise took care of the problem.

If you can't add more ram.

You can increase the size of your page file if there is space available on the hard disk. Logon as an Admin, hold down the Windows logo key and press Pause/Break to open System Properties. Click the Advanced Tab. In the Performance section click Settings. Click Advanced Tab again. In Virtual Memory section click Change. Choose the appropriate drive in the first window. Below that choose Custom Size and increase the value in the Maximum Size(MB) box. Click set, ok, and then restart your computer.

I'm personally thinking about adding a solid state hard drive to use for virtual memory and internet temp files

When your computer uses Virtual Memory it uses HDD space to do so. It is usually from the C:/ that it pulls it from. You can either clean up your HDD (disk clean up, delete files you dont' want anymore) and defrag your disc or you can right click on My Computer Properties >> Advance Tab >> Performance >> Settings >> Advance Tab >> Change Virtual Memory and increase what is already there. Personally I'd do both, but it is up to you.

click start > settings > control panel> performance and maintenance > system
click on the advance tab
click the performance settings button
under performance options click on the advance tab
at the bottom is the virtual memory settings button
click on change.
choose the setting that is "system managed size"
then click on ok until all the windows close.

it may have you re-boot your system.

this should reset your virtual memory and allow the system to use whatever it needs.
