Can anyone explain the meaning of the word ‘relive’ in the following sentence: Long after the danger is past, traumatized people ‘relive’ the event as if it were continually recurring in the present.

it means that in their heads their memories of the event or danger that caused the trama are replayed, often in such detail that it seems to the person that they are experiencing the event again and again. Think of it as if it had a hypehn, re-live.

it means they "RE- LIVE it". they live it again,, they experience the same feelings, emotions etc that occurred the first time!. cuz of the trauma..
