trying to create a little dis-harmony, to fit in with your own narrow world view?
how far would you like to split things? would you like to pit north wales against south wales? county against county? or town against town? perhaps you would like us to go back to a time when individual clans fought each other over a few square acres of land.
I have explored my own genealogy
I was born in Essex.
My parents are londoners.
I have one welsh grandparent.
I have one cornish great grandparent
If I go back a few more years I have a few scottish genes and a little bit of geordie too.
There is probably a bit of german, dane, norwegian, french and god knows how many other nations genes floating around in all of us 'English'.

I'm Welsh.
I'm not "against" the English at all - my other half is English and our baby son is half English.
And I have never met any English people who say that "Wales is part of England"! Who on earth are these "English" people you are talking about??!? All the ones I know are well aware that Wales is a separate nation! Think you're a bit delusional there.
I'm not bothered about Wales being independent. To be honest I think economically and politically we are better off as part of the UK - we can still have our traditions etc.
There are more important things that bother me such as ensuring everyone in Wales has a job, a home and a decent standard of living to be honest I'm way more concerned about this than loads of flag waving and everyone speaking Welsh and being anti-English. At the end of the day, nationalism don't pay the bills.

Wales is indeed a Country in it's own right and as far as I know, every Welshman/woman I have ever met has been very proud to be Welsh. The reason Wales is club together with England is because it is part of the UK/Great Britain. Wales is not part of England and never will be, but it is part of Great Britain/UK. It is the Unity of these 4 Countries which makes Britain Great. You should be proud to be Welsh 1st; British 2nd and European 3rd. I am a proud English woman, I greatly respect my neighbours Wales and indeed live in Wales for 50% of my time. I also have great respect for Scotland and Northern Ireland. It always seems to be one one traffic though. England seems to have great respect for Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, but I quite often hear the other countries of this United Kingdom jeering England in sporting competitions. We should all unite together and respect each other. I know awful things happened in our histories and we should learn from this, not forever carry this grudge.

For Wales to stand on it's own they would have to break all ties with the UK. There are many Welsh people that want that but look what happened in Ireland almost a century ago when they tried. It was a blood bath and the fighting still continues.
If secession where to occur it should be done by negotiation and not bloodshed. Too many Irish have senslessly died over who owns Northern Ireland.

Wales is a Principality of England - you know that whole Prince of Wales stuff? So in that regard it is a part of England.
Don't blame us now, all this came about many centuries ago when the Welsh tried to give the English a bloody nose and tell us what to do. It didn't work - Wales is still a part of England.
If you want your own destiny without us then by all means go ahead and do it. You certainly have a distinct language and culture from us. All the best.

Wales stands alone, as does England and Scotland.
But together they are the UK
Wales has the Welsh Assembly so it does have a voice.

Thank you for recognising our Great Country! I am proud of our country we have a lot to offer and people don't realise it. Look at our countryside some of it is the best in the whole of Britain. People who criticise where you live are just sad and need to get a lilfe. We are all British and we should be proud of what part of Britain we live in. I am proud of being Welsh and my brother in law is a proud Englishman. I think English people class England as being the best country because it's the biggest. Wales and Ireland and Scotland are smaller but we seem to be more patriotic and pouder of our culture. I'm not against England or Ireland or Scotland I think they are great countries and have a lot to offer. It just gets my goat when people think Welsh people are stupid and all we do are work in mines. Well if they took the time to find out about Wales they'd know it's a cultured country! Cymru Y Byth. Wales Forever!

Welsh is one of the oldest language in Europe.
I can assure you that the majority of Welsh people have little affiliation, if any, with England.
Wales has it's own assembly and it's own unique culture.
I think if any English people group Wales in with their own country (and I don't personally know any that do) then they need to get a grip on the fact that their Empire days are thankfully over.
You will find the majority of Welsh people very patriotic and more than willing to stand on our own.
Maybe you should read a little celtic history and then you will see how it all came about in the first place.

Neither Wales nor England is an actual nation by itself. They are both a part of the United Kingdom.

Wales has the choice between being part of Britain and being part of globalisation. Blair's new labour devolution policies consist in selling Wales, Scotland and England to globalisation.

Wales, isn't part of England now. It is part of Britain. Your sentiments seem to run counter to the spirit of the EU. So, I assume you don't want to be in the EU. However, that is the only way that you could survive with a sort of pseudo independence.
