most likly you have a (head gasket) that is leaking it will let oil from the oil galleys in your engine leak into the water jackets where your coolent is moving through your motor take it to a good mechanic to have him check it out he will need to do a compression leak down test to figure it out good luck

As other said it could be likely a head gasket. However it could also be transmission fluid. Did you have any work done on your radiator lately. If so and its an automatic transmission it may just be that a little of the tranny fluid mixed in with the water when the work was being done. If thats the case then no beig deal. Water has a greater density than other liquid so any thats in there will float to the top. Simply take a rag and wipe it off If not then head gasket and is big bucks to fix. When you have to worry is if the water gets into the oil. It will start to turn milky and can really damage your engine.

It sounds like a head gasket problem. On older vehicles these gaskets dry rot and break and cause oil to get into the cooling system of a vehicle or vice versa. Pull out your dipstick after running the engine for a while and see if the oil looks to be a little milky instaed of a honey color, thats usually a pretty good indicator. It is a pretty big task to replace them and is sometimes costly, but just call a repair shop and ask around.

by the sounds of it you have a crack in the block. if you have the 2.9v6 that was a common problem with them.what id suggest you do is look into either replacing the truck entirely, or replacing the engine with a remanufactured 3.0 or 4.0 engine.

I don;' know how they got oil in there!!!! You'll have to drain and flush the radiator. Get a special flushing compound from your local auto parts store (and more coolant/antifreeze).

It’s usually a sign of cracked head or cracked block. Take it to a mechanic as it’s major work.
