I am interested in having a high end wool coat made, and I want to use a textile manufacture in the USA, but I am having no luck finding out how to get started. I can't find any information on the web. Can anyone direct me?

Much of your search will depend on volume. If you are talking just a handful of coats, you will be better off using a local tailor. Large companies deal with tens of thousands of yards. If you have that large a volume contact ITG-Burlington (see reference). They make the materials for the US Military in the US

I don't have a specific answer but I have a thought that may be helpful since I doubt that there are many mills left in the US. Here is my thought: Find the custom tailors in your area and go to them to see where they get the bolts of cloth they use. Then swim upstream from there.
