In the state of Arkansas, when you quit a job you are normally disqualified, the disqualification being that you must have to work for thirty days before you are eligible, depending on the current circumstances of the job you worked the thirty days at(clear as mud?).

If they reviewed your circumstances and denied you then you are disqualified until you meet there disqualification.

One of the previous posters said you can only appeal once per job.

In Arkansas, that is not correct. You may appeal 3 times. First appeal- Appeals Tribunal, second-Board of Appeals, third-Court of Appeals.

You have to have a very good reason for quitting your job. You can look at your states- state website on unemployment and find the U.I. laws to know exactly what you are up against.

Good luck.

I think unemployment is only available if you were fired or laid off - not if you resign. You are expected to find another job before resigning from the old one and that is why they have that standard in place. Otherwise, anyone wanting to just "take a break" would quit their job, live off unemployment for a few months and then go out and get a new one. You will just need to tighten your belt and start working harder to find a new job.

Ask for an appeal where a higher up will get the facts to why you quit and then make a decision. But I believe you can only appeal once per job.

Sorry, here in the USA they give unemployment to people who were fired or let go. We do not give unemployment to people who quit.
