I would like to know what you folks would do in my situation. My husband and I are not doing well money wise. We are both out of work and I'm currently looking for a job. Anyway, I saw in the paper today that there is a position at the company that I used to work for. The problem is that they have hired two different times to work there before. Both times I quit I gave them plenty of notice that I was leaving. The other problem that I'm having is its not going to pay me half of what I need to live on, but it is a job. I was thinking about just doing that job if they hire me as a temperary thing until they find someone to fill the postion. What to you think?

Who could write something rude? Anyway, I believe it is a great idea. The company has prior experience from you so training or "breaking you in" is over with, if you were a good worker and are willing to take the pay they're giving you how could they lose if it's temporary, who knows maybe they'll keep you for good. In the end it would be great for you and the company, be sure to point out that your experience w/ the company can ease the hassle of hiring someone else and you can help train the person who may replace you. Good luck

If you need money and you both are unemployed then yes i would go for that job. Any money is needed right now and its better then being completley broke. It is important to have at least some income coming in. Look for a better paying job while you are working.

It can't hurt to speak to the manager of the position to see if they would consider you on a temporary basis - the worst thing they can do is say no. And it may be worth your effort - you can usually get better pay as a direct temporary employee rather than through an agency.

If they have jobs, why don't both of you apply, then you can commute together to save $$ ?
