For some reason I think marriage is the only source to happiness. Is that true? I've never been married and right now I am single

Married life is a wonderful. I can't speak for 'soul mates' and 'the only one for me', I only know that I feel as though I've known my wife forever, even before I met her she was the one I wanted in my life.

But know this, Happiness comes from within. No one and no thing can make you happy. Not a man, not money, not job, not family, not hobby.

Marriage is not the only source to happiness. Having said that I am married and could not be happier. When you are with that one person you should feel as if your soul has completed. You may have felt like there was a "hole in your heart". But after a good relationship and then marriage you feel as if that hole as been fixed for ever and you are happier all the time. It really is great knowing you are coming home to the one you love. I say this after being in Iraq for 4.5 months and 4 more to go. I personally could not be happier.

It all depends on who you end up with. More couples get divorced these days than they used to . I am married and it is very very very very hard. My husband and I have been seperated 3 times in 9 years and if we didn't have children then we would be divorced. On the other hand I know couples that have been together for many years and are still as happy as can be. Just know that when you are with someone and you think that you want to spend the rest of your life with them that it will only get harder than is currently is if you get married. If you are lucky enough to find someone that you can and do spend the rest of your life with then you are a very lucky person.

If you are looking to get married to find happiness, you are looking in the wrong place. You need to find happiness on your own first, whereever that may be. No *significant other* will ever make you completely happy. You can't be happy with someone else until you are happy with yourself!

I have been happily married for almost 2years now and it's wonderful...But, you should not rely on someone else to make you happy. You have to make yourself happy and when you find that special someone the rest will fall together.

If you are not happy, getting married will not make things better.

Married to someone you love is better than being alone or not married and with someone you love.
Married to someone you hate has got to be worse....
