Take them to a Color Me Mine studio and have each child design a different part of a breakfast set....plate, bowl, mug and teapot....so grandma will think of them and feel their love every time she has breakfast. To keep them coordinated, have them all use the same color combos or else use the same theme.

What about a felt lavender [or other scented flower] sachet
All you need is [1] felt, lavender and some embroidery thread if doing by hand + decorations for front [beads craft paint etc]
Or [2] felt, lavender lace and glue
[1] Cut out a shape [square, heart circle] around 15 cm is a good size Decorate the front piece with beads, or fabric paint, let dry*** then place the two pieces [front and back] together and buttonhole them together with a contrasting thread just before you get back to the start fill your sachet nice and full with lavender then finish sewing the stitch's need to be fairly close together or the lavender falls out!! [2] You do the same as above up to *** take the unfinished piece and glue lace around the edge carefully lining up the edges let this dry as well lay the decorated piece on top to make sure it fits add a small pile of lavender in the center of the bottom piece and glue the two pieces together let dry your finished

Make a calendar for next year. Put the kid's pics on it for each month. If you don't have enough pics then just get one great pic and attach the calendar on the bottom that goes for the year. Dont have time? Get the picture you want and buy a calendar that is already made and just glue the pic to it. Make a frame around it and let each kid put their name on the frame and put their age next to it. If there is left over space write love you or something on it to.

Placemats. Get bristol board in the size of a placemat that the kids can decorate with drawings, stickers, cut outs from card, photos of themselves..... whatever they want. Then you can either "laminate" them with clear sticky plastic or get them done at an office place like Staples. I drew some for my grandma 20 years ago and she still pulls them out every year. A great conversation piece over tea and cookies.

if you have access to a laminator and some photo software get photos of the kids, let them manipulate them so they are hanging out in cool places or with superstars, put personal messages on for grandma and turn them into place mats.

One year we got teatowels and fabric paint. I had each kid do hand prints on a seperate towel and then I painted their name and the year on them. They looked great, were inexpensive and Grannie loved them -- she is still using the towels . . .
