Light from the sun and stadium light is attracted to the black paste players put underneath there eyes. It helps players see better.

it doesnt block the sun, it just serves the same purpose as squinting in the sun. It keeps the amount of glare to a minimum. when you squint, it gives you a headache. yes it serves a purpose and it actually works. but it is also used as an intimidation factor as well.

It keeps the sun from reflecting off the sweat on there cheekbones into there eyes...and some ppl as mentioned already wear it to look tough

the black stuff abosrbs sunlight to below their eyes so instead of going into their eyes, it goes into the black stuff....baseball players use it to


alot of times, the sun glares off the windows of skybox windows, signs, etc, so, they wear it

i guess that just like wearing it just to look tough and let the people know they came out their to win the game and they is not taking no stuff off the other team.

well my softball team wears it too we do it to look tough but some people say it blocks the sun

dats so the light won't go in there I's, light tend to hit dark surface.
