Of course chess! Chess has been played for countless numbers of years and still is one of the favorite board games, I think that is best ever board game worthy. C'mon, who doesn't have a chess set? Do not deny your inner feeling to play chess once in a while. It IS the best game after all...

Of course this is subjective. The one that you love the most. However, I would say that Backgammon is the number one game in the world. It is played all over the world and has been played for centuries.
I have a sinking suspicion that the number one game in China is something called Chinese Chess and it is the world's most populous nation.

For me, the #1 board game is Chess, because I believe that chess has been played far longer than any other board game known... besides.. you never hear about a monopoly world champion, or a checkers world champion, neither a backgammon world champion... chess has it all... world champion... U.S champion.. European champion.. state champion... ect... it's the best...

there is so many. monopoly,chess,checkers,backgamon.but i believe that monopoly is # 1.why you ask???because the game is just so much fun!!!!!!you can take monkey from people and be happy winning.but even if you aern't winning then you're probalbly still having a fun time being with people you know.=D
