If you could, would you pay two years subscription of broadband internet so I don't have to come by the Internet Cafe every week?

Sure. Why not? You could use the Internet in the comfort of your home....always a plus.

There is so much competition between high speed internet providers I think you can find a sweeter deal. When speaking to the customer service rep, use that leverage to negotiate a better deal!!! They want your business guaranteed for two whole years? Make them offer you a great rate!

Happy Web-Surfing!

Does it cost you anything to connect to the wireless cafe?
If so compared that price for 2 years vs the price for broadband.
Theres your answer.

Now the intangibles.
If youre only going to the internet cafe to use the internet, and this is just about whats more cost effective -- well, add the cost of gas both ways over the two years price.
That should prove way cheaper when factoring in cost of gas and what not.
Also, if just for money sake....you would probably save enough money on buying your cup of java, to the point where you could probably even buy one for your home.

However, the intangibles are the interaction of others and the fact that sometimes its better to get out of the house, and internet cafes offer a nice working environment for some.

Id go crazy cooped up in the house trying to write all the time.
Thats just food for thought

Hope it helps

no i would not do so for two reasons:

1- i would not pay for broadband to visit the internet once a week or to log on to yahoo answers, i would do so for video streaming, downloads, voice over IP and tons of internet activities which would utilize this connection, or i would share it with so many people and do the normal use of the internet

2- technology is the worse enemy for prices, i remember once i used to pay for a dialup line what i am paying now for a DSL connection, in two years, your connection would worth half the price

Depends on who the provider is. If you get a bad provider you will still end up going to the cafe for internet connection. What about Wireless? is that an option for you?

i think most people do pay a monthly fee for internet service in their home for broadband access. I've had it in my house so long I don't remember when the last time I used dial up or had to go somewhere else for internet access.

Me, yes! I have shut my internet off before, and it seems like the day after, I have something that I desperately need to look up!

I've been paying for 3 years now. It's well worth it if you can afford it.

SBC (for DSL), Verizon (for DSL), or Road Runner (for cable). But check your area to see who offers the best speed for the price.
