Buddy Rich was an excellent drummer. He used Slingerland drums and Zildjian cymbals. It's tough to answer a best of anything question because there are so many variables involved.

My brother, a drummer, says Buddy Rich. I don't know what kit he used, but I'm sure you could look it up.

Can't tell you the type of kit they used, but 3 of the best are Neil Pert, Peter Criss and John Bonham.

My cousin Steve. And he switches drum kits so often it's useless to name 'em all. But he seriously is freakin' awesome.
Tre Cool or Tommy Lee if you want famous people... and I don't feel like looking up what kit they use.

I (and others for sure) have answered this same question many times here , and we always say......Buddy Rich! LOL! I think he may have used Gretsch or something , there weren't as many brands as there are today.
