Okay, I am 38 1/2 weeks pregnant with my second son. I lost my mucus plug little by little yesterday. Today, the braxton hicks have been coming more than normal. I am having cramps on my right side (not contractions) and I am tired as all hell. I am beyond miserable...the dr said not to be surprised if I have a baby that is more than 10 lbs. I just want to get some opinions....do you all think labor will be really soon or still a week or so away? Thank you.

I say if you're going to have a big baby (like I did with my second) if you can induce labor..I tried sex (worked for the first baby) and then I tried bouncing on a beach ball..was too tired for sex(second time)!! This worked too..if you're this miserable..ask your doc and try to induce naturally!GOOD LUCK

Soon. i would say that by tonight you should be in full labor. be sure that all your things are packed and take a nice long nap now. Then take a nice hot shower and walk a bit around the house. Sounds like you will be having baby really soon. good luck. oh and i have two sons as well greatest gift in the world.

When I had my daughter, the Braxton-Hicks got a lot stronger on a Thursday evening and I had her on the following sunday evening. Hang in there. I know the waiting sucks, but your precious baby will be here soon enough!

It sounds like your body is getting itself ready for labor. You should have a baby within a day or two. Not much longer now. Good Luck and I hope you have a health baby but maybe not a ten pounder.
