I heard that you can download an emulator to your PSP. Does any one know if this is true and if so where can you download it from and also the games you can play on the emulator. Any help would be great. Also let me know if you have to pay for anything

It depends what kind of emulator. There are many kinds of emulators floating around that allow you to play Sega Genesis, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, etc games on the PSP. Most of these emulators are free. However, seeing as I do not own a PSP, I cannot direct you to any specific websites.

Remember that the PSP can only perform so well. Anything above the Playstation era probably won't have an emulator for it.

Another option includes Playstation games on the PSP. Sony is offering PS1 downloads for the PSP through the PS3 online service. This is the most surefire "emulator," because many downloadable emulators end up screwing up after awhile.
