hey you ND hating nimrods. ND played the 20th toughest schedule in the country according to the Sagarin ratings. They beat 5 bowl teams (Penn St, Ga Tech, Purdue, Navy and UCLA). Their two losses are to 2nd ranked Michigan and 7th ranked USC at USC. Wisconsin had the 85th toughest schedule in the country and they are already going to a New Years Day bowl because of the conference tie ins which hog all the bowl spots. Auburn also had an easier schedule overall than ND and got blown out of the water twice at home. Quit listening to the ignorant media who keeps repeating erroneous information or doesn't tell you the whole story because they are biased and jealous of Notre Dame. Think for yourself and look at the statistics.

Man, I was all ready to get up in arms about the ND haters, but I see that a few of my fellow Irish fans took care of that for me.
As much as I hope ND wins, with their past bowl performances the way they have been, it is going to be a hard call.
Quinn, Szmardija, Walker and the rest of the guys are going to have to make sure that they don't let the pressure and the hype get to them.
What I am really looking forward to is the NFL draft. It will be great to see where Brady ends up.

How can any of you above idiots think Notre Dame played an easy schedule and then say Rutgers deserves a BCS spot? Give me a break. The Big East is weak, and the only "tough" teams that Rutgers played were WVU and Louisville - who both suck and play no difficult teams themselves!
The above poster is exactly right. Stop listening to the media who says ND has a weak schedule. They played Michigan and USC - their only losses. ND also beat UCLA...who I remind you was responsible for killing USC's title hopes.
As to the actual question, ND will be locked in a close race b/c both offenses are powerhouses. If Quinn can limit turnovers, and their defense can create 1 or 2, then ND has a real shot. If they win, I can't wait to hear you stupid winning southerners, who are still pissed about the civil war, try to create an excuse for the SEC.

ND haters take note. It's the Weiss age. Things are changing. Yes, we got the crap kicked out of us...twice. But our schedule was no weaker than say, hmmm, OSU.
OSU is undefeated and deserve the National Title, but give credit where credit is due. We beat ranked teams & have only two losses.
OBTW, I am so sick of hearing how ND always plays the service acadamy. Any college football fan worth their salt knows why. Tradition among other things.
ND will win. Go Irish!

Lame pick for a BCS game ND has beaten no good teams this year and the only two good teams they played spanked them.
Not a single team they beat all year is ranked now.
Wisconsin didn't have any big wins either but only 1 loss.
Auburn had two loses but also two wins against BCS bound teams.
West Virgina had one top 25 win.
Any other team with that schedule and record gets a much lesser bowl. I think LSU wins this game big.

Notre Dame is so over rated, they played two good teams and they lost both of them. LSU is the best two loss team and they will crush ND. I like Charlie and Quin but man I am tired of hearing about how great this two loss team is.

a great team, but they played a weak schedule. plus their two losses were blow-out losses to far superior teams.
auburn or wisconsin or rutgers are all more deserving of a BCS bowl bid in my opinion.
having said that, with Notre Dame in there, it will certainly be fun to see what brady quinn and darius walker can do against LSU. it should be an interesting match up..

Being an 'SC fan, it's hard for me to root for ND especially with LSU's offense, but I am pulling for Quinn and the rest of the seniors to get a victory!
