It depends on the state you live in, around here you can be as young as 14 but you have very strict laws you have to follow such as being off at certain times and only able to work so many hours. You have a better chance at getting the job if you're 15 or 16 though, but you still have to deal with certain laws until you're 18.

it depends on where you live and which one you want to work at because MC Donald's is at the age of 16 and a half where I'm from with a work permit but places like Carl's Jr and burger king you have to be at least 18 years old looking for work in central Cali is hard if you are not 18 or older but hopefully you have better luck then i did

well we have a kopps and you can work there when you are 14 otherwise mcdonals 15 other places usually 15 or 16. but you need to get a work permit from your school they are 5 dollars-well here in Wisconsin and your work will reimburse you. and until you are 16 you cant work past 7:00 or more then 20 hours a week.

depends on the state if your state allows 14 yr olds to work with permit you may be able to.. I managed a McDonalds for years the youngest is 14 but most will not hire you until you are 15 you just can not be anywhere in the kitchen or coolers until you are 16 or 18 depending again on state rules and regulations..

you can be 15 but you have to have a work permit and you can't work an 8 hour shift .you will be part time.You will also not be able to close at night if you you are 15.Another job to think about is at a car dealer in wash bay washing cars.

I believe that it is 16 years old. Unless you have a work permit and then you can work earlier.
