Why oh why does everyone hate BSU? They play hard, they have a winning record, they tend to be consistent, have a good team, have loyal fans and they love the game just as much as anybody else yet they are consistently being put down...I know that there is a lot of controversy about the Fiesta Bowl, but according to the rules, they earned it. Some say there needs to be a change in the BCS in the future, but this year with these rules, they earned it! It is such a great accomplishment for their program. And another thing, everyone is always saying how BSU would get their asses handed to them if they were in a different conference, that is mostly true..The reason being is that they dont get to recruit from the same places as all the big name schools/conferences. How can it be an even playing field when they are so limited in who will play for them? well just my thoughts, i needed to vent :) feel free to leave your own!

People Hate BSU because they are scared. All these people back the big BCS schools, and when an outsider comes in they attack them and try to bring them down. About the blue turf; BSU is the only school in the U.S. with a field that is not green or dead grass. Only by grandfather claus are they able to keep the smurf turf. Once again people attack it because it is different. On to the issue of discounting their schedule. They did beat Oregon State (42-14), the same Oregon state team that beat USC (33-31). I think the Broncos deserve a little more credit. They started off the season un-ranked, and fought tooth and nail to earn a spot in a BCS bowl.

I think after Boise State rocks Oklahoma in the bowl game and go undefeated that they will finally get the respect they deserve. Hey it's not their fault about the conference they are in. Now if Florida beats Ohio State and Boise is the only undefeated team, what then? In 81 BYU was undefeated and won the National Championship though lightly regarded. In my opinion there should be an 8 team tournament with the final 2 teams playing for the title. In other words you would have to beat 3 highly ranked teams to be champion and nobody could really argue about schedule or conference as you would be proven worthy by this tournament.

Here's my thing. I don't think Boise State is the number 2 team in the nation because they play in a weak conference with a weak schedule. However, if the NCAA believes that they are quality enough to earn a BCS bid despite not being in a BCS conference, why wouldn't they still be able to be in the title game. They did what they could do. They won every game they played, they should be allowed to play in the BCS championship game.

i live in Toronto Canada, and i don't hold any affiliation for any particular team, so as a completley neutral observer, i am very pleased to see Boise St get into a BCS bowl. they have had a great year and they deserve to be there.

they dominated all their games, including games against teams from BCS conferences..

i'd really like to see Boise move to a BCS conference. their program is good enough to compete with the best of the best.. and i think they will prove this when they play Oklahoma.

Of course they have a winning record, they havent played any good teams! Yeah they play hard..so do all of the schools in the top 25, hence the 1,2,3-loss seasons! Just cuz a mid major school has a story book season, doesnt mean that they get to play with the big dogs out of sympathy....yeah, they dont get big recruits, so thats why they are not a good team compared to the rest of the top 25.....all the good recruits go to good teams who play in BCS games!

How is undefeated, udefeated? If undefeated was undefeated, all the big name schools would play against Temple, USCWS st and all sorts of crappy teams and go undefeated with ease!!

Not a lot of people hate BSU. But that blue turf is horrible. What the hell is that about? Blue turf? This is college football, not the smurfs.

1) They have blue turf...what the (blank) is up with that?

2) Their schedule is full of cupcakes.

3) They ***** about not getting enough respect when they know damn well that against top teams from the big conferences...they would get beat like a pinata on Cinco de Mayo

I think most people will be cheering for BSU but they also will be aware that Umdenstock is probably right.

they were undefeated..i think they deserve a bowl game..the bcs is messed up..but its more of a worry, in my opinion, of who will be put into the national championship game, not all the other bowl games..there are so many bowl games now-a-days it doesnt mean anything if a team is in it..only thing that matters is the national championship, if the two right teams are in it...PLAYOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFs
