Wait, whats wrong with being a nerd? I'm a nerd. I take pride in the fact that others resort to petty name calling because they feel insecure to my intellect. Many of us nerds take it as a term of endearment. All kidding aside, just let it roll off your back, they have no idea what they are talking about.

I really think they just feel jealous. Everyone says I have no life because my lowest grade on my report card was an A. But the truth is that I just memorize facts really quickly, so I don't even need to study. You should just ignore them and concentrate on school. After you become wealthy and powerful, you'll be the one who can laugh in their face. After you become CEO of a major company, they'll be janitors or maybe calling you boss.

No, I think it is just ignorance. I prefer a girl with intelligence over a girl without it ten out of ten times. Continue to make good grades because the ones calling you a nerd will be working for you while your good grades turn into a good salary.

No, I think that it's a judgemental stereotype. Those who study oftentimes do make it in the real world, while people like me join the military and get out and have no job anyways.
Don't let anyone bring you down and just keep going with whatever it is you're aspiring to become, let nothing stand in your way, and one day those hecklers and jecklers will realize that they were dumb.
I'm 22 and graduated high school 4 years ago, that didn't keep me from getting a widespread vocablaristic ability.... no?

I don't know. I was lucky, I guess, because nerds were kind of the cool kids in our high school. A lot of the athletes and stuff also made really good marks and the academic decathlon team was supported just as much as the football team. Maybe your school just isn't well-rounded enough.

Because they are lazy and don't care about their grades or future. Next time someone calls you a nerd remind them that when you go to a good college and then get a good job with great money, they will still be asking "Do you want frys with that?"

As an older person I canhonestly say that later onin life when the NERDS are all making money and successful, somehow most of them also get really good looking too...those people who were popular and good looking in high school...later on...are losers and not so good looking anymore.
So I agree - smart becomes really cool later on. Keep it up.

Everyone finds a way to dislike or insult those who have something that they would like to have. Hence smart=nerd, pretty=slut, athletic girls=dykes, popular or rich=stuck up. Do yourself a favor and don't worry about it. When you get out of school, you'll find your attention to your studies will take you far, and you'll find much better guys to hang out with than ever ignored you in school.

I think that slackers just like to put peer pressure on everyone else to be like them. They don't want to admit that they're losers who are messing up their future so they try to get everyone else to do what they do so that they're not the only ones doing it. I think they're probably jealous in a way.
