I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I am seriously paranoid! Even with this being my second child, I'm still freaking out a little bit! It appears that the baby has dropped. You can tell my looking at me, and I can tell by the movements I feel. The thing is, the movements feel EXTREMELY low, right around the pubic region. Also, while I have had some mild back pain, this past week has been excruciating. I feel serious pain in my back when I stand up, it's very hard to walk (it goes beyond the "pregnancy waddle"), and sometimes, I feel a downward pressure, like the baby's about to just drop out of me! I'm not due for another 3 weeks, but I can't help but wonder...is this normal? I'm scared I'm going to go into labor within the next couple of days, and I don't remember having these sensations when I was pregnant with my first. I don't go back to the doctor until next week, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have 5 kids. With each one, they settled a bit lower. This is completely normal and this will also help you dialate quicker. Try some yoga type stretches for the back pain. Get on all fours and let your belly "sag" then stretch it like a cat would.

By the way, 37 weeks is considered full term. The baby should be plenty developed. Not only that, due dates are estimates. Maybe you are further along than you thought.

I'm 38 weeks and have felt like that for weeks now. My doctor even said his head is "right there." My back is killing me and walking hurts in my groin area too. I keep telling my husband it feels like he's falling out and I'm just sure I'm going to peak down and he'll be waving at me. All kidding aside, it's miserable I know, but it could very well go on for a few more weeks.

sounds like baby is about to make its debu. Relax. try to stay off your feet as much as you can. Make sure you have all yours and you babies things packed. Have someone that can take you to the hospital near by at all times. The daddy your parents his parents on alert so they know when its time to come and get you when daddy is at work. You won't be able to take yourself as you know. Also try taking a hot shower. That will help with the back ache. You are also aloud to have tylenol. take some if you need it for the back pain. Good luck and congrats on the baby.

Try doing some pelvic rocking. It might alieviate some of the discomforts you are feeling.

You can also go get a massage or a chiropractic adjustment. These things will help with your aches and pains and will balance your body, which will make labor easier.

the only different advise I even have is purchase bottles designed for colic. I used Dr Browns and that they labored for my son. i've got heard others use Playtex Drop ins and that they squeeze the air out of the bag, yet i've got no longer tried those, yet pay attention they are stable. additionally call your ped and notice what different advise the advise nurse provides you.
