I would and did tell my children what i believe...... Father Christmas is real to those who believe!
It sounds like you have got it all sorted in yours and their minds, and its super!
Have a wonderful Christmas, and its so nice to see someone write Father Christmas and so many people say Santa and thats ok but for us Brits he will always be Father Christmas.

I have 3 kids (16, 13 and 8), only the youngest one still believes.
We haven't got a chimney but Santa has a special key that lets him into every house so that he can deliver the presents. We also have to place a 'Santa, Please stop here' sign in the front garden. My son has to write a list and post it so that Santa knows what he wants. As a single parent I cannot afford too much so I have always told them that I have to give Santa some money to help him out, this way they also respect what they have!
I still do a stocking for all my kids and they all get up to find the presents 'from Santa' on christmas morning, they are all wrapped up in one type of paper for each child, so that they (and I) can tell the difference. Once they are all opened then all the family presents are opened. My older two have been brilliant about keeping the secret going for my little one.
We also leave out the Mince Pie, glass of milk and carrot on Christmas eve!

I don't know who Santa is but I never used to concentrate on how Father Christmas entered the house, we had a chimney though so it wasn't an issue. What is more important is to stress the real meaning behind Christmas not lists of presents but the pleasure of giving and being grateful for everything they receive. You have it right let children stay that way for as long as possible, believing in the magic of things and enjoying the build up.

I believe in Father Christmas and I'm 46! :-)
We never really got into that sort of detail. Basically we kept the presents out of sight until Christmas Eve. We always have a present from Santa, and always have a stocking, from Santa.
So the presents from other people are delivered by them and are just hidden, but the special present from Santa comes from him when he delivers it on Christmas Eve.
I think you made it too complicated.
My eldest, 15, realised Santa doesn't exist at about 10, but we never discussed it and we continue to pretend. I'm expecting the youngest, 9, is realising.
But it's the spirit of Christmas that's important.

MY mum and dad tell my bros the same sort of thing. they say he has a special key. this year my nan bought a special key from a shop and because she is going away this year for christmas to australia(lucky thing!!) she showed it to my bros and sed that she leaves it out for santa every christmas so santa can get in but coz she is going away she has left it for us to leave out for him. its a really nice big key looks really authentic. my youngest bro was so excited he wouldnt let go of it for ages. :-) then of course we leave a mince pie or summit of the sort. maybe a glass of summin. carrots for the reindeer etc. stockings on our bedroom door handles which we open first. However our newest thing that the whole family does together is email santa!! we found this website where it has part of the email ritten out and you fill it in and pic a special stamp and virtual gift to santa clik send and within 2 mins you hear bells and you have a reply from santa and its never the same to any of us and it all has our name on it and mentions what we wanted. it is very clever and my bros love it. Well thats what we do lol sorri for being so long. xxxPPxxx

When i wasa kid, my mom and dad used to tell me santa came through the fireplace or if the fire was on, shrunk magically and came through the key hole. And about the presents, we buy them and wrap them, and put them on the bed, then elves come take them to santa, and you only get them if youv'e been a good girl/boy if you havent somebody else gets them.
