My book says," Give a definition for protoplasm in line with modern biological concepts." OH MY GOSH! I just dont get it...haha...can someone help me with this...I just can't find the answer in my book..uhh... and then this other question says," Explain the relationship of variations to adaptions." Does anyone know this..any of you smart ppl? Thanx so much...

The protoplasm is the living organic components within each single celled organism. Each shares a few in common, i.e. the nucleus, Mitochondria, etc. Depending on the organism, and the environment it lives in, the different structures within the cell, and it's external characteristics will vary(variations) in "relation" to it's particular environment. Compare the aomeba to the paramecium, or flagella, you will see the variations.
