Why cant people drive WITHOUT blabbing on their cell phone??

I feel I'm put more at risk by the people who are staring in rage at the people who are blabbing on their cell phones while driving. At least the drivers on their cell phones are looking at the road! No offense. Just how I see it.

I agree totally and completely! Now, around here, they finally passed the law that it's illegal to talk on your phone and drive. Someone I know just got pulled over last week for talking on her phone while driving. I think every state should adopt that law! I've almost been hit so many times by stupid people too busy talking on their damn cell phones to care where they are going and whether they are going to cause an accident that could kill people or themselves.

I totally understand and I am probably one to blame, I admit. But, California law is that starting January 1st, we cant talk on phone in cars ne more. We have to have the hands free bluetooth thing. So that's what I got my husband for xmas. Hopefully I get one too. I think that will prevent a couple of accidents since now we will have both hands free if we have to make a sudden lane change, etc. It's a good idea I think.

If they get caught doing this in the UK they get nicked because it's now against the law to do so. Only problem is ever since they started using cameras to catch people speeding there are'nt enough traffic police around anymore to see people doing it. The law was brought in for that very reason though and I completely agree with you - people shouldn't do it - even worse I've seen people texting while driving. Hmmmm.

Gah, it's my opinion that between half and a third of all drivers on the road (I'm talking 'bout London drivers here anyway) are selfish twits (I wish to use a stronger word, but I won't). I take a bus to college, and everyday I see someone either smoking/eating/chatting on their phone WHILE driving! WHY?? I honestly wish there was a system where I could write down their car registration ans shop 'em to the police, they drive me crazy! <_<

If you want the truth, it's because, sadly, in today's world, many people just do not care.

They are just not told by their parents or anyone else who actually has the power to make a change to them that driving and talking on the mobile is WRONG.

So, basically, yeah. These people just don't know better. It is our mission to spread the word and educate the world of the danger of dunces.

because they think that they are so important that they must be talking on the phone 24/7. Yes i'll admit i talk on my phone when i'm driving, however only when i'm lost and cannot find my destination(i called my sister-in-law up trying to find a library in the city that she lived in before her and my brother got married). But other than that i do not use it while i'm driving.

I don't know. These days, it seems like everyone is always on their cell phone. They just shut out the rest of the world. I personally think they're pointless. The few times I need to make a call there is always a payphone nearby.

I know I got rear ended by a man too busy talking on his cell phone to notice that the light had turned red and that we had to stop.

I used to live were it was against the law to do it, so I don't do it even now. People just don't care, they think their conversation on the phone is more important then the lives of themselves and of others.
