If there's somthing you need or want to understand, you should be asking your friend. He would more than likely enjoy the chance to talk openly about this part of who he is with a trusted friend. Just be yourself, don't judge, and ask honest questions. Keep in mind this is only a small part, not the whole picture of what makes your friend who he is. You might just be surprised at the answers you get.

OK,seeing that your question is only for gay people,I FELT THE RESPONSIBILITY TO ANSWER YOU.
Where are you from?
Planet x?
Ever hears of talking to each other?
OR IS THE RELATIONSHIP ONLY BUILT ON SEX?
I f you want to know where he goes, ask him if you can come along, then you can see firsthand what he is doing and where,.
My feeling says that you are not in a good relationship.
In fact:in a very bad one,if you don't even know what is going on..
Better get into an argument about it than feel you have been left on your on,cause you make it feel that way.
I pity you,do you think you deserve this?
Aren't you a free human being?
It's high time for you to go to a gay bar and see for yourself what it is all about.
DO YOUR BLOODY BEST TO START TALKING.
GREETINGS:ROB.
you may IM me if you need.
don't worry:i do have a boyfriend.

What's to understand? He's your friend, he's a human being with feelings/emotions, he walks upright, bleeds the same blood, has a family, friends...he's no different except that he loves other men who also love men. So what?
Unless you're interested in sleeping with him it shouldn't matter.
