I was on 'picket' duty in the army,( part of basic training) 2 hours walking about the camp in the middle of the night carrying a lump of wood asking for daft passwords etc. 2 hours of this crack then wake up the relief, and so on all night.
I was 1 hour into my stint and looked up at the night sky, I thought I saw a very strange looking star formation a large V formation of lights , just hovering, then they all started moving very slowly together , I just couldn't understand it.
I woke my relief from his break and almost dragged him outside, I needed a witness, he was not a happy feller as he looked up to where I was pointing, then he saw it, he was gobsmacked!
We watched together, this was no helicopter, it was not a plane it was something completely unknown. As we watched the front light of the V formation took off like a bolt of lighting no longer than half a second the rest followed and the V reformed again' this happened about 4 times as we watched, until they all shot off upwards together and disappeared.
We just looked at each other, I said "If you ever mention this to anyone, I will deny it" I haven't mentioned this to any one before, and even though I think about it now and again, I cant think of any thing that could explain it.
I am not a space UFO fanatic some of the stories I have read are just unbelievable and complete fantasy, but I cant explain what ever it was that I saw that night, much as I try..

I could have sworn I saw one over near Santa Ana, CA about ten years ago. It looked like a ginat boomerang in the sky (there were a lot of clouds so it COULD have been that).

Think about this...what if UFO's, if there is something driving them, are actually from here and piloted by beings that live within the earth? Its crazy stuff...go check it out.
