Now that Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton want to ban the "n" word, what's next?

This is a very slippery slope. All of Richard Pryors and Chris Rock's videos would have to be removed (along with any other comedian who uses that word). Then, any other derogatory word for any race would have to be banned also (honkey, cracker, raghead, wet back, beaner, chink, slantyeyed, etc).
One of the foundations of this country is freedom of speech. Even speech that is deplorable, is still legal.

I say right on to Jesse and Al!!! Banning the N word will never happen completely. Because black people use it in there own speech. It is just strange though cause white people don't call each other "crackers", chinese people don't call eachother "chincs". So the better question to ask is why do black people want to call there own race a rude offensive term? I think the blacks should eliminate the use of the n word in there own lingo.

Black people call themselfs Ng--rs all the time, no big deal (and im white) Its just a word, whats thr big deal? ****, honkey, nip, ect dont get (Keyword" "Media attention") banned.
Its just a WORD people!! By the way, the next time I hear a comic call me a "Honkey" I will laugh as I always have. But if a BLACK comic calls me a "Honkey", I will still laugh and have no thoughts to SUE him or bring my white brothers into the streets to riot and loot in the name of justice/excuse.
The NAACP and the KKK are the same, they support only there RACE. The KKK is (hopefully) pretty much dead, But yet the NAACP is allowed to bash white people.. Amazing...

I think all and any words are just words. to say them with intention is another thing and to be offended by them is a weakness in humanity. Whether some one is one way or another doesn't matter. That's why it's fun to joke about which is why I agree. I absolutely LOVE dave Chepelle (I think I spelled it wrong) and he makes race jokes all the time. one of his best skits was a blind black man who thought he was white and was in the KKK.

Since those kinds of people pride themselves in being called African Americans....then I think that's where they should go. And let them take all the like minded with them. They are far more racist than anybody I know!
We are losing too many rights and freedoms the way it is....if we lose any because of them....then we all should riot. I think we all need to get tougher skin....and let those kinds of words slide right off.
