most ppl in england who have any dislike for anyone american are usually misinformed lefties who couldnt point to north america on a map.
USA has been a friend and ally to england for a 100 years.In which times we have depended on each other many times.Many of these times , most ppl wouldnt even be aware.
eg the falklands could not have been recovered by england without US intelligence,air refuelling and most of all the air to air sidewinder missile.Bearing in mind that USA was also an ally of argentina.the american nuclear umbrella also protected western europe from soviet domination for the entirety of the cold war.
If the leftist cranks favour the enemy,the backward islamic states of the middle east then maybe they should go and live there, instead of sheltering under the protection of USA.

In the cold war days, America had a mission and most of the western world were pleased to stand with them. Now the US has lost its main opponent and has become the unchallenged school bully.
I think in the days of the cold war, Americans chose their politicians more carefully. LBJ, RMN (YES - NIXON) and Regan were of a different class to Bush and his cohorts.

It's a stereotype. Unfortunately the politicians that attain the highest profile and draw the most attention are generally the ones that only care about themselves and their pocketbooks. It's not fair to the honest ones, but people believe what they see.

we're not to fond of US politicians in the US either, and I'm glad to hear from more people that realize regular US citizens are nothing like them.
People are people everywhere; we'd all do well not to judge other peoples by the worst, visible examples.

Because it is quite a big racket. Unfortunately, many honest ones may make it to Washington but then caught up in the game. You don't play, you don't win. The rest of us (their employers) lose.
