First response is that no...it isn't my business to tell anyone anything on this subject. It's simply none of my business. However, it depends on your business and your relationship with these customers. If you know for a fact that the man is cheating on his wife and when abruptly confronted you simply blurted out a truthful fact, then you cannot be blamed. It's not your fault for being put in such an awkward position...so no worries. If the husband ever came back to you and asked; Why did you tell? Your response might be; "How dare you! Why did you cheat and put me in the middle of this? Why couldn't you just keep this a secret and leave me out of it? I didn't ask to know about your affair, and while I appreciate your business as a customer, as far as this other crap goes; I'm not the bad guy here."

Very stupid on your part. Guess who is getting supobenaed for the divorce case? Yep...you. Not only that...a supebonea isn't an invitiaion. Ignore it and you'll cool your heels in jail for contempt and then brought to court in your little orange jumpsuit and be compelled to testify.
Then you can have the issue of the now ex-husband coming around looking to kill you for interfering in something you shouldn't have.
Will this happen? Don't know. But I feel it only fair to let you know just what MAY happen. Always prepare for the worse.

Yes. If I was in that position and I needed to know the truth about my spouse, I'd want people to be honest with me.
It's called the golden rule. Treat others as you would like to be treated.

How do you KNOW he is cheating?
I would only answer with facts.
like, " Well I saw him kissing a woman that was not you." but unless you have seen something don't offer up speculation.

It was none of your business. If the customer finds out you ratted him out you will lose his business and possibly the business of his friends and associates.

No, I would not have told her, even if I knew it was 100% true. It's not your place to tell her- and since she was rude enough to ask you, you could have just said "I have no idea what you are talking about" and just walked away.

I guess that all depends how well I know her. I would imagine if she is asking me then I probably know her well and would have told her. Have you seen the husband since ?
