Extremely easy. Shut down the computer and unplug it from the wall outlet. Remove the side cover (or case) and locate the memory stick (or sticks). Remove one RAM stick by pushing down the tabs on either end of the stick, and make note of all the particulars printed on the sticker that's attached to it. Buy RAM that matches those particulars and either replace the smaller capacity sticks, or add to them (whichever you prefer). Installing RAM sticks is done by lining up the notch in the stick to the wedge that's in the slot...it won't click into place if the stick is backwards (notch and wedge won't line up). Push on the top of the stick until both tabs click.
Some older computers use SIMM sticks instead of DIMM sticks, and that type memory must be installed in matching pairs. With DIMM sticks, some computers require the larger stick to be in DIMM slot number 1, and any smaller sticks go in the next slots (largest to smallest). Even if your PC doesn't care which stick is in which slot, it won't hurt to go largest to smallest...it's a good habit to get into in case you do run into a PC that cares.
Good Luck!!!

Really easy. There's NOTHING inside the computer that looks like RAM (except RAM that is). Open the case and you'll see a couple of 'sticks' of RAM. If there's an empty slot (which would be RIGHT beside the other sticks, that's where you put it. Make sure the computer is unplugged and you're grounded!
There will probably be connectors at either end of the slot. Push them 'down' and then you can push the RAM into the slot (it will only fit in one way). Then pull up the connectors until you hear a click.
Put the case together and power up! The BIOS SHOULD recognize the new RAM automatically.
good luck

This is probably one of the easiest upgrades you can do. If you have the motherboard book, it will list the type of ram that it takes.
It will also specify what banks and the capacity of memory you can have.(Some pc`s need matched pairs)
You can also download the book online too, from the manufacturer`s website.
(Their are quite a few types : simms, dimms, pc100/133, ddr,ddr2,rdram) If your not sure, just remove a stick of ram out of your PC and take it to *BestBuy(*example). Be careful transporting it, & don`t get your prints all over the metal contacts. ***** It can easily be destroyed by static electricity too, so transport it in a envelope***** (I`m assuming you don`t have a anti-static bag.)
Removal :
1.Unplug computer(After you turn it off ;)
2. Remove side
3. Ground yourself to the power supply, first.(Touch it)
Or use an anti-static wrist strap : attached to the pc frame, or power supply.
4. Most likely you will see two plastic clips on the end of the memory slot. Just pull them back, and this will raise the simm/dimm.
5. When placing it back in, use firm pressure until the tabs close.(You may have to apply pressure from side to side.)
6. Close her up ,and reboot : it will auto detect the ram if you did it right.

Its easy now-a-days to do it. Turn off your computer, open up the case, slide the new RAM module in, close the case, turn on. The RAM module fits in only one way, just make sure to line up the little notch correctly on the motherboard's memory slot. Just a little force might be required to snap it in place.
As was said earlier, the real trick is knowing what kind of memory your system supports, and how much it can support. I use Crucial's website to help me out in finding what one's can be installed (www.crucial.com). Also, Kingston's website has a cool tool that helps figure it out (www.kingston.com).

Ram upgrade can easly achieved by 1st researching your system, this process is done make sure you get the right memory for the pc. Once this is completed then all you have to do is open the pc and find the expansion slots and insert them in careful. Boot the system check for ram increases from last checkpoint.

Depends on what one calls "easy".
Basicly, you open your computer, and insert the RAM Module in the Memory slot.
However, it can be difficult because of wires & cables in the way, and\or perhaps the power supply.
Check your computer's Owners Manual under Upgrades or go to the company's site for detailed info\instructions........

If you sill have the motherboard manual, use this to find out the type of ram you have and then order some.
Use this method to show you how to install the ram also.

Very easy to install. You simply click them into the RAM slots.
What is a little more complicated is buying the correct RAM that your motherboard can work with. Once that is done, it's plain sailing.
